City of Covina Jobs in Los Angeles County, California

Covina Community Information

In 1882, Joseph Swift Phillips, was the city of Covina's founder and the original organizer. He bought the 2000 acres that Covina sits on for $30,000. The city would not be incorporated until 1901 and at that time it was known for its orange and grapefruit trees that blanketed the area. The city became the third largest orange producer in the world by 1909. An extensive archive illustrating Covina's history is kept at the Covina Valley Historical Society. Today Covina has made the claim to have the largest movie theatre multiplex in all of Los Angeles County, called the AMC 30. Covina Jobs find better jobs on JobMapper.com
