Currently there are 29 villages that exist or are in the building process. Most of Irvine is part of the Irvine Unified School District. Some of Irvine's elementary and middle schools are recognized as some of the best in the nation. Residents and businesses have been choosing the City of Irvine because of its dedication to maintaining its reputation as one of the safest, master-planned, business-friendly communities in the country.
