San Dimas Community Information

The city of San Dimas was incorporated as a city in August 4, 1960. Originally it was called "San Dismas" but later the first s was dropped. In the early to mid 1900's the area was mostly known as an agricultural community with large amounts of orange and other citrus crops. San Dimas at last count in 2004 had a population of 36,200. When you visit San Dimas you will find the water theme park Raging Waters, one of the biggest water theme parks in all of California. The city has long kept is tradition of looking like an old west style town. San Dimas is served by the Bonita Unified School District.
